Return shipment of XENTRY Diagnosis systems

You can obtain return shipment documents for your XENTRY Diagnosis systems directly in the XENTRY Shop under Return label. This service is available without login and registration. Please make use of this offer for XENTRY Diagnosis systems.

Information on the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)

After use, electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste (household waste), and must instead be collected separately. End-of-life equipment may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health.

Disposal of electrical and electronic equipment

The crossed-out garbage can symbol means that you are legally obliged to dispose of this equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. Disposal via the residual waste garbage can or the yellow garbage can is prohibited. If the products contain batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not permanently installed, these must be removed before disposal and disposed of separately as batteries..

Options for returning end-of-life equipment – for XENTRY Diagnosis systems, please request return shipment documents as described above.

Owners of end-of-life equipment can return it free of charge to the available end-of-life equipment return/recycling facilities set up by public waste management authorities (i.e. recycling centers of municipalities) to ensure proper disposal of end-of-life equipment. An online directory of collection and take-back points can be found under the following link: https://www.ear-system.de/ear-verzeichnis/sammel-und-ruecknahmestellen

Furthermore, you can also return electrical or electronic equipment free of charge to all Mercedes-Benz company-owned sales and service outlets under the following conditions:

  1. When purchasing a new electrical or electronic device of the same type that performs substantially the same functions as the new device;
  2. Small devices that do not exceed 25 centimeters in any external dimension, regardless of the purchase of an electrical or electronic device (max. three end-of-life devices per device type).
Data protection

We would like to point out to all end users of waste electrical and electronic equipment that you are responsible for deleting personal data on the end-of-life equipment being disposed of.

WEEE registration number

In the course of implementing the ElektroG act, we have registered with the "Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register" (ear Foundation). Under the registration number DE 64356963, we are registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register, Nordostpark 72, 90411 Nuremberg, Germany, as a manufacturer of electrical and/or electronic equipment.

Information provision obligations

Information provision obligations as per § 18 ElektroG (collection and recycling rates) can be found here (electrical and electronic devices | BMUV).

Information on the Battery Act (BattG)

Identification

The symbol of the "crossed-out garbage can" indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries (together: used batteries) must not be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste (household waste) after use.

Hazard potential

Batteries may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and human health. Caution is advised when handling batteries containing lithium due to the particular risks involved. The separate collection and recycling of end-of-life batteries and rechargeable batteries is intended to avoid negative effects on the environment and human health. Batteries and rechargeable batteries contained in electrical equipment that can be removed without destruction must be disposed of separately from it.

In connection with the distribution of batteries and rechargeable batteries, we use the services of the "Stiftung Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem Batterien". As a dealer, we are obligated as per § 18 para. 1 BattG to inform you of the following as a customer:

Obligations of the manufacturer, distributor and end user

The end user of batteries and rechargeable batteries is obliged to return used batteries to designated collection points. After use, you can return used batteries (which you have purchased from us or which correspond in type to batteries from the Mercedes-Benz range) free of charge to Mercedes-Benz company-owned sales and service outlets, to a municipal collection point or to your local retailer. Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out garbage can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances. Batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury (Hg), more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium (Cd) or more than 0.004 mass percent lead (Pb) are marked with the respective chemical symbols of the metals (Hg, Cd, Pb) for which the aforementioned limit value is exceeded.

Where possible, avoid waste generation from used batteries. Please make sure you choose rechargeable batteries or batteries with a longer service life. Avoid littering public spaces by disposing of batteries correctly instead of carelessly leaving them lying around. Please check the possibilities for reusing batteries instead of disposing them, for example by reconditioning or repairing the battery.

Information provision obligations

Under the Battery Directive, EU member states are required to collect data on used batteries and report it to the European Commission. Further information about this can be found here (Used batteries | BMUV).
